Piteni AVEE <\/b><span style=\"font-family: inherit; color: #484f56; font-size: 1.125rem; font-weight: 400;\"> It is one of the largest food production and trading companies in Greece. It was founded in\u2026  <\/span><b style=\"font-family: inherit; color: #484f56; font-size: 1.125rem;\">1973<\/b><span style=\"font-family: inherit; color: #484f56; font-size: 1.125rem; font-weight: 400;\"> under the name &#8220;Agamemnon Pitenis.&#8221; In December of\u2026  <\/span>I<b style=\"font-family: inherit; color: #484f56; font-size: 1.125rem;\">1997<\/b>, <span style=\"font-family: inherit; color: #484f56; font-size: 1.125rem; font-weight: 400;\">it completed the creation of a new, state-of-the-art food production unit, with a total area of <\/span><b style=\"font-family: inherit; color: #484f56; font-size: 1.125rem;\">14,000 m\u00b2<\/b> <span style=\"font-family: inherit; color: #484f56; font-size: 1.125rem; font-weight: 400;\">and building facilities of<\/span> <b style=\"font-family: inherit; color: #484f56; font-size: 1.125rem;\">3,000 m\u00b2<\/b>, <span style=\"font-family: inherit; color: #484f56; font-size: 1.125rem; font-weight: 400;\">in order to meet the new conditions of domestic and international competition.<\/span><\/p><div class=\"row pt-5\"><div class=\"col-12\"><div class=\"thecontent\"><p>Thus, with the long-standing trust of consumers in the company&#8217;s products and its family-based form of entrepreneurship, it managed in 2003 to produce over 100 different types of products using the most modern production methods and in accordance with all hygiene and safety rules, based on traditional Greek flavors.<\/p><p>Since 2004, the company has gradually focused on the development of<b> Functional Products<\/b>. Thus, it established the <b>Helenic Hepirus Bio-Technology R &#8211; Afoi A. Piteni  CO GP <\/b>, with <b>distinguished biologists<\/b> in the field, a <b>Biotechnology Research  Development company<\/b>, intensifying research on the biofunctionality of its products. In 2009, it upgrades the distribution of its products in <b>Central Macedonia<\/b>, by creating a <b>branch in Thessaloniki<\/b>, while in 2010 it expands to the Attica region. In total, taking into account the autonomous distribution network in the Western Macedonia region, Afoi A. Piteni AVEE collaborates with more than <b>80 representatives<\/b> to supply over <b>11,000 points of sale worldwide<\/b>.   <\/p><p>Since 2011, the company has expanded its activities into <b>new lines of \u201cGourmet\u201d Foods<\/b>, launching products of even higher quality and nutritional value to the market, such as the <b>Pitenis Premium, Okeanos EXCLUSIVE<\/b> series and others. In February, it acquires its <b>2nd Patent<\/b>, which concerns a solution of <b>Kozani Saffron with Extra Virgin Olive Oil<\/b>. Finally, <b>it has been certified<\/b> and implements the <b>Quality Assurance  Management System \u201cISO &#8211; 22000:2005\u201d<\/b>, which includes the Hazard Analysis  Critical Control Points System \u201cHACCP\u201d, and the Food Safety Systems <b>The Certification Plan for Food Safety Management (FSMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) \u201cFSSC 22000\u201d Global Food Safety System<\/b> and the <b>\u201cHALAL\u201d Lawful Certification<\/b> for Middle Eastern countries, while it has received certification of its products from the <b>USA Food  Drug Administration \u201cFDA\u201d<\/b>, after on-site inspections <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>History Learn the history of our company Afoi A.
